The tables

Four tables, house-dealt every night

Crib and euchre take the busiest tables most nights; bridge and whist hold the quieter end near the old loading doors.

Layout

Four tables, one dealer each

A gloved hand dealing cards across the green felt

Nobody at Harbourlio deals their own cards — a house dealer works every table so play never stalls waiting on one person to do both jobs at once.

Crib and euchre share the busier side of the shed; bridge and whist sit near the old loading doors, where the room is quieter.

Poker among friends runs on Fridays, no buy-in, chips only — and whatever changes hands during a game is worth exactly nothing once the cards go back in the box.

Room for a crowd

Four tables plus the counter stools, thirty-odd on a full night

Never self-dealt

The house runs every table, every session

On the way out

Chips go straight back into the tin by the door
